(November 29, 2025) What Tanya Khubchandani saw abroad during her days as a student and young professional convinced her that India deserved a wellness ecosystem that focused on prevention, not just cure. Today, as the founder and CEO of Elixir Wellness, she leads a fast-growing network of 27 centres across India, offering IV therapy, facials, aesthetics, dermatology, longevity solutions, sports recovery, and preventive healthcare under one roof. Her exposure to advanced wellness practices in the United States—combined with her public health training at Columbia University and clinical experience at Weill Cornell and Montefiore—shaped her belief that wellness should begin long before illness.
Tanya is also an author and blogger, and uses all her roles — entrepreneur, writer, digital creator to make a compelling case for everyday wellness. Alongside Elixir Wellness, Tanya also contributes to the healthcare landscape as Director – Strategy and Business Development, spearheading the development of family healthcare ventures comprising of Gleneagles Khubchandani Hospital, Krimson Oncology Hospital, and other ventures, while overseeing the HCG ICS Khubchandani Cancer Center and ICS Khubchandani Dialysis Center. Driven by purpose, the entrepreneur is building a model of wellbeing that is holistic, science-backed, and rooted in everyday life.

Early years and global exposure
Khubchandani grew up in Mumbai in a home that valued curiosity, independence, and hard work in equal measure. After school, she moved to the United States to study at the University of Pennsylvania, where she pursued a unique mix of economics, psychology, and English.
“Penn opened my worldview and sparked my interest in understanding people, systems, and behaviour. I went on to complete my master’s in public health at Columbia University, spending my days in those cathedral-like halls that made everything feel possible. My years at Weill Cornell Hospital and Montefiore Medical Group shaped my approach to healthcare, teaching me that wellbeing isn’t just clinical; it’s deeply emotional and human,” she tells Global Indian.
When she returned to India, she knew she wanted to build something that blended science, empathy, and everyday wellness. That vision eventually became Elixir Wellness — a preventive-care brand rooted in holistic, long-term health.
A career built in chapters
Her career has unfolded in phases, each one reshaping her perspective. Between 2004 and 2008 at the University of Pennsylvania, she studied economics, psychology, and English — an unusual combination that taught her to think analytically while staying attuned to human behaviour and storytelling. “It shaped the way I communicate and the way I build,” she says.
Between 2008 and 2010, she completed her MPH at Columbia University. “Public health showed me the importance of preventive care long before it became a buzzword. It planted the earliest seeds of what would one day become Elixir.”
From 2010 to 2014, she worked in healthcare roles at Weill Cornell and Montefiore in New York. “Working as a change-management coach in large hospital systems taught me discipline, empathy, and how to operationalise care at scale. It also made me realise that systems only work when people feel supported. I worked heavily in internal medicine and understood the value of operational systems, quality of care, and preventive care,” she says.
Returning to India in 2014 was a turning point. “I worked briefly in my father’s healthcare business and explored the idea of a skincare line. Around the same time, The Mommy Diaries blog unexpectedly took off, and with it came a community that shifted how I saw my voice and impact,” she says.
Her book, All You Need to Know About Parenting, was published in 2018 by Penguin India — a refined version of the blog. “This phase deepened my identity as a writer and creator and built the foundation for what I do online today,” she adds.
In 2021, she started Elixir Wellness and officially launched it in 2022. “After working in healthcare in the U.S. and returning to India, I became increasingly aware of how our system functions — brilliantly in crisis situations but largely reactively. We wait for illness before we intervene. COVID made this painfully clear.”
What began as a one-room space has now grown into a comprehensive preventive-care brand built on the belief that health should start long before illness. “Building Elixir, especially as a single parent, forced me to grow in resilience, leadership, and clarity. It taught me that you can reinvent your life at any stage and still build something extraordinary,” she says.
Each chapter — academia, healthcare, writing, entrepreneurship, and motherhood — has shaped her into someone who leads with intention, empathy, and an unshakeable belief in preventive wellbeing. “My career hasn’t been linear, but it has been purpose-driven, and I carry every lesson forward,” she says.
Inside Elixir Wellness: Science, safety, and personalisation
The USP of Elixir Wellness is simple: every treatment is medically designed, clinically supervised, and fully customised to the individual. In a market crowded with generic wellness trends, Elixir focuses on precision, safety, and science-backed protocols.
“Each client begins with a doctor-led assessment, where we review medical history, symptoms, lifestyle patterns, and recent bloodwork when available. Our medical team then builds a personalised plan — whether it’s an IV formulation, a recovery protocol, a skin or body treatment, or a longevity intervention. No two drips or treatments are ever the same,” she explains.
Vitamin levels, micronutrient ratios, infusion speeds, hydration balance, and contraindications are all tailored to each individual. To maintain medical-grade quality, the team centralises sourcing and compounding, and all services are administered by trained nurses under doctor supervision.
This blend of clinical rigour, global wellness innovations, and personalised care is what differentiates Elixir. The goal is not to offer trends, but targeted preventive solutions that genuinely improve long-term health and performance.
Lessons in strength and single motherhood
Khubchandani’s biggest motivation has always been her children. “As a single parent, every decision I make comes from a place of wanting to create a life where they feel safe, supported, and inspired. I want them to grow into kind, grounded, self-aware human beings,” she says.
She emphasises that reinvention is always possible. “You can rebuild your life at any stage. You can start over, choose yourself, and create something meaningful from chapters you never planned for. You don’t need to be the loudest person in the room; you just need to keep moving with clarity, compassion, and intention.”“At the end of the day, my work is my message to them: this is what resilience looks like, and you are always worth the effort.”

Scaling purposefully
While she is grateful for her opportunities, she is even more grateful for the challenges that shaped her resilience and clarity. “I hope my story shows other women, especially those navigating life transitions, that you can build again, lead with empathy, and create a life that aligns with your values at any stage.”
With Elixir Wellness, her focus is on expanding across India and building centres that bring together longevity, preventive health, advanced diagnostics, and evidence-based therapies under one roof.
“We’re evolving into a holistic ecosystem — urban wellness studios, destination retreats, genomics-led programmes, and partnerships that align with our ethos of science-backed, accessible wellbeing. I also plan to grow my work as a writer and digital creator, using my platforms to spark conversations around health, mental wellbeing, parenting, and reinvention.”
“In short, my plans are simple: build with purpose, scale with integrity, and create spaces and stories that help people live better, longer, and healthier lives,” she signs off.
