The venture began modestly, with Karthik leading a team of just two members. However, through determination and strategic planning, the Bengaluru-based startup has expanded into a dynamic team of 50 young professionals.
Paperboy has set its sights primarily on India’s tier-2 and tier-3 cities, which constitute a significant 31.16% of the country’s population. By focusing on these regions, the app has been able to aggregate an impressive variety of regional newspapers, making it a go-to platform for localized news. The initiative not only bridges the gap for people seeking convenient access to regional publications but also preserves the importance of local languages in India’s media landscape.
