(March 17, 2026) For Sudhakar Kancharla, curiosity has always revolved around understanding systems—whether it was the human body, technology, or complex healthcare infrastructure. That curiosity eventually took him from a small farming town in Andhra Pradesh to the United States, where exposure to advanced healthcare systems and technology-driven industries shaped his entrepreneurial journey.
Over the years, Sudhakar went on to establish three molecular diagnostic laboratories in the US along with six IT companies specialising in high-end computing and enterprise solutions. Back home in India, he founded Yoda Healthcare Group, building an integrated healthcare ecosystem designed to bring diagnostics, genomics, and preventive healthcare under one umbrella.
“From a young age, I was drawn to understanding systems, be it the human body, science, or technology. That curiosity stayed with me as I grew,” smiles Sudhakar, an entrepreneur working across healthcare, diagnostics, genomics, and IT services, in conversation with Global Indian.

Entrepreneurial journey
Sudhakar’s entrepreneurial journey formally began in the US, where he established three diagnostic laboratory entities designed to serve specific clinical and regional needs.
These entities operate through organisations such as Devansh Lab Werks, Microgen Health, and Lab Squire, focusing on molecular diagnostics, clinical testing, specialised panels, and technology-integrated laboratory services.
Vision
Sudhakar’s vision behind the labs was to build scalable, technology-driven diagnostic facilities capable of delivering scientifically validated and accurate results to hospitals, doctors, and patients, while maintaining strict adherence to compliance and regulatory standards.
“In a way, these labs were not only operational facilities but also learning grounds for me to understand cutting-edge diagnostics, quality systems, regulatory discipline, and data-driven healthcare infrastructure at a global level,” says Sudhakar, who now operates between India and the US managing cross-continental work across healthcare, diagnostics, and technology while remaining deeply connected to his roots in India.
First lab in Alabama
In 2017, Sudhakar officially ventured into the clinical diagnostics industry by opening his first laboratory in Birmingham, Alabama. This marked the foundational step of what later evolved into a broader and more integrated global diagnostics ecosystem under Yoda Healthcare Group.
“Before stepping into entrepreneurship full-time, my early professional experience in the US spanned roles in clinical data engineering, healthcare research, infrastructure engineering, and clinical data management,” informs Sudhakar.
These experiences provided him with a unique perspective that combined clinical insights with system-level implementation expertise—an advantage when developing healthcare platforms and diagnostic infrastructure.
Indian market
As the ecosystem developed, Sudhakar entered the Indian market in 2021, bringing with him international standards of quality, advanced testing infrastructure, and robust technology integration.
“This move was also aligned with my broader vision of making diagnostics and genomics more accessible and affordable in emerging markets like India.”
Yoda diagnostics
Yoda Diagnostics was established as a major diagnostic vertical of Yoda Healthcare Group, with a strong emphasis on precision diagnostics, genomics integration, and technology-driven laboratory solutions.
The idea, he says, was shaped by years of observing global healthcare systems. “I noticed that India had excellent doctors and hospitals, but access to advanced diagnostics, genomics, and preventive testing was still fragmented and often delayed.”
The early stages were challenging. “It was not easy to develop infrastructure, adhere to global quality standards, gain people’s trust, and create awareness around preventive diagnostics,” says Sudhakar.

Personalised genomics
Yoda has been working on the application of personalised genomics and preventive screening panels, including multi-gene testing strategies that support early risk identification and more informed clinical decisions.
A key strategic element is that Yoda Diagnostics was built primarily as a B2B diagnostics platform, working closely with hospitals, clinics, doctors, and institutional healthcare partners to ensure clinical quality and reliability.
Mr Yoda
However, Sudhakar realised that while B2B diagnostics strengthened the medical ecosystem, it did not fully address the end-consumer’s need for access, clarity, and continuity of care.
“To address this gap, we introduced ‘Mr. Yoda’ as a direct-to-consumer health platform.” While Yoda Diagnostics focuses on laboratory testing, scientific accuracy, and backend clinical diagnostics, Mr. Yoda was designed to directly serve individuals and families by helping them access tests, understand their reports, receive AI-guided health insights, and move towards preventive and informed healthcare decisions.
DNA decoder
“Within the same ecosystem, projects such as DNA Decoder were developed as specialised genomics-driven health assessment platforms aimed at personalised risk analysis and preventive health intelligence,” elaborates Sudhakar.
IT services in US
Parallel to his healthcare journey, Sudhakar also founded multiple IT services and staffing companies in the United States. “These organisations focus on enterprise software development, digital transformation, technology consulting, and workforce solutions.”
Companies such as Tekreant, CBN Tech Force, Invric, Scinastrix, Povami Tech, and Joberra collectively contribute to building strong enterprise technology and digital infrastructure capabilities.
“Through this ecosystem, we have delivered solutions to major corporate clients, including 7-Eleven, and today support around 500 professionals placed across North America and India.”

Farming family
Born in Kandukuru, a small town in Andhra Pradesh, Sudhakar comes from a farming family. “Growing up around agriculture teaches you responsibility in a natural way. We were not surrounded by luxury, but we had clarity about what truly matters.”
Education
Education, he says, was considered the strongest tool for transformation in the Kancharla family. “My parents always believed that knowledge could change not just one life, but the future of an entire family.”
During his schooling and college years, Sudhakar remained academically consistent and genuinely interested in understanding concepts rather than simply chasing marks. His inclination towards analytical thinking became stronger while studying at JNTU.
Alongside academics, he remained active in sports and extracurricular activities. “Those experiences taught me teamwork, discipline, and how to stay calm under pressure.”
In the US
Sudhakar’s journey into healthcare was not accidental. “It was a gradual process of learning, exposure, and understanding different healthcare systems around the world.”
After completing his Master’s in Management of Technology in the US, Sudhakar had the opportunity to closely observe an advanced healthcare system where diagnostics, genomics, and data-driven decision-making were already integral to medical practice.
“This was a major turning point for me. I realised that the future of healthcare would not remain treatment-focused but would shift towards predictive, preventive, and precision-driven care,” says the entrepreneur, who also gained strong exposure to IT services and high-end computing during this period.
Health intelligence
Sudhakar’s long-term vision is to help transform healthcare from a reactive sick-care system to one driven by predictive, preventive, and precision medicine.
“Our ultimate aim is to develop a comprehensive healthcare ecosystem that not only provides reports but also delivers actionable insights that help people make responsible and informed health choices.” He believes strengthening India’s genomic capacity and building population-scale health intelligence will be essential to the future of preventive medicine.
Sudhakar also plans to expand advanced diagnostic infrastructure beyond metro cities to ensure affordability and accessibility at scale, while maintaining reliability, scalability, and strong clinical standards.
Philanthropy
Sudhakar’s passion for philanthropy led him to establish the Avasthita Foundation in 2017, focused on societal upliftment across education, basic needs, sanitation, healthcare, employment, social awareness, parental care, and agriculture.
“Philanthropy, for me, is deeply personal. It is not separate from business; it is an extension of responsibility and values that I have carried since childhood.”
He was inspired by Anne Frank’s words: “No one has ever become poor by giving.” The core focus of Avasthita includes poverty alleviation, educational support, medical assistance, sanitation initiatives, nutritional programmes, and rural skill development. Through Avasthita and allied outreach programmes, Sudhakar says he has supported more than one lakh rural individuals.
Healthcare in India, abroad
Sudhakar believes India has witnessed significant progress in medical expertise, hospital infrastructure, and digital health adoption over the past decade. “At the same time, when it comes to advanced diagnostics, genomics, and preventive healthcare, India is still in a developing phase compared to many Western healthcare systems.”
In several Western countries, predictive diagnostics, genomics, and early screening are increasingly becoming routine components of healthcare. “In India, a large section of the population still approaches diagnostics only after symptoms appear, which delays timely intervention and increases long-term health risks.”

Advantage India
That said, Sudhakar believes India holds a powerful advantage. “We have unmatched scale, a strong talent pool, rapidly growing digital infrastructure, and high adaptability to new technologies.”
The pace at which India is adopting digital platforms, AI-driven solutions, and health-tech innovations is already visible across diagnostics, telemedicine, and integrated care models, he says.
Cost innovation
Another unique strength, he says, is cost innovation. India has the ability to develop high-quality yet cost-effective healthcare solutions, a crucial factor in making advanced diagnostics and preventive care accessible beyond metropolitan cities.
“With the right investments in genomic research, preventive diagnostics infrastructure, and AI-led healthcare platforms, India is not just capable of catching up with the West, but could potentially lead the world in affordable precision healthcare.”
Mentor
Beyond his professional work, Sudhakar mentors young entrepreneurs and healthcare innovators. “I strongly believe that experience gains real value only when it is shared and used to create a larger impact.”
A pilot
Sudhakar also has a deep passion for aviation. A private pilot, flying gives him a rare sense of clarity and perspective. “It teaches discipline, precision, and calm decision-making under pressure—qualities that naturally reflect in how I approach my professional responsibilities as well.”
Otherwise, he enjoys reading, especially books on leadership, technology, innovation, and personal growth. “For me, learning has never been limited to formal education; it has always been a continuous and conscious commitment.”
