(Our Bureau, June 12) A blue Tesla Model 3 was spotted on the streets of Pune recently suggesting that the Elon Musk-owned company could launch its first car in India by the end of the year. Pictures of what could be the test mule of Tesla’s entry-level offering circulated on social media in the wake of reports that Tesla would import three Model 3s to the country for testing and ARAI approval. The American brand is also reportedly looking for dealership space in major cities such as Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai, reported Times Now. It has already registered an office in Bengaluru and the Model 3 is said to be the company’s most affordable vehicle. The sedan claims a 0-100 km/hr time of 3.1 seconds and could be priced at about ₹55 lakh.
