(March 31, 2026) From beachfront ceremonies in Florida to grand celebrations in Dubai — Sri is quietly taking the spirit of Indian weddings to destinations across the world.
As the founder of Sri Events, the Hyderabad-based entrepreneur specialises in crafting celebrations that blend cultural authenticity with global hospitality standards, ensuring that every ritual, guest experience and logistical detail comes together seamlessly — no matter where the wedding unfolds. In his line of work, there is little room for error.
“Handling events abroad has been an exciting experience as it involves coordinating with new teams, understanding different venues, and making sure everything comes together smoothly for the couple and their guests,” says Sri, in a conversation with Global Indian.

Global destinations
Sri Events handles end-to-end execution, including venue selection, décor design, guest travel and accommodation, hospitality management, logistics, entertainment, ceremonies and on-ground coordination, ensuring that every moment of the celebration runs seamlessly.
For Sri, destination weddings are more than just picturesque venues. “They are about carrying the essence of Indian celebrations to global destinations while ensuring that every logistical and regulatory detail is handled with precision.” Having planned weddings in both the United States and Dubai, he understands that organising events abroad requires careful coordination with local authorities, venues and hospitality partners.
The vision
Founded eight years ago, Sri Events was created with the vision of delivering experiences that go beyond conventional event management.
Like any entrepreneurial journey, the early years came with their share of challenges — from building the right network of vendors and resources to earning the trust of clients in a highly competitive industry. “Establishing credibility, managing large-scale logistics, and balancing creativity with operational demands were all part of the learning curve that shaped both me and the company.”
Luxury weddings
Over time, the company has evolved into a dynamic platform specialising in luxury weddings, corporate experiences and large-scale government events, combining creativity with operational precision.
Luxury weddings form one of the most celebrated segments of the company’s portfolio. Sri approaches each wedding as a deeply personal celebration where every detail reflects the story and traditions of the families involved. From bespoke décor concepts and curated entertainment to carefully planned guest experiences, his focus remains on creating elegant celebrations while honouring cultural authenticity.

First wedding in the US
Sri Events’ first wedding in the United States marked a milestone for the company as it stepped into the international destination wedding space. The celebration took place at Navarre Beach in Florida, bringing together around 120 to 150 guests from different parts of the world. “The beachfront setting offered the perfect canvas for an intimate yet elegant celebration.”
Sri and his team curated every element of the experience — from décor that blended Indian traditions with a coastal aesthetic to guest logistics, travel coordination, welcome hampers and venue arrangements.
Permissions
In the United States, event permissions often depend on the venue and the scale of the celebration. “Our team works closely with venue management and local authorities to secure event permits, sound approvals and compliance requirements where necessary.” Outdoor ceremonies may require municipal permissions, while larger gatherings sometimes involve coordination with event authorities and security teams. “The aim is always to ensure that traditional ceremonies such as mehendi, sangeet and the wedding rituals can take place seamlessly within local regulations.”
Expanding footprint in the US
Beyond permissions, destination weddings abroad require meticulous guest management. “From airport transfers and hotel check-ins to welcome hampers and on-ground coordination, we ensure guests experience both comfort and hospitality throughout the celebration.” Sri Events has since executed weddings in destinations such as Phoenix, Arizona and Dallas, Texas, expanding its footprint in the US destination wedding market.
Celebrations in Dubai
Sri Events has hosted weddings at venues such as Park Regis Deira Islands and Fortune Grand Hotel in Bur Dubai, managing everything from hospitality and décor to permits and entertainment coordination. “Dubai weddings follow a different regulatory process due to the city’s structured hospitality and event ecosystem.”
For destination weddings in Dubai, approvals are typically required from the hotel or resort hosting the celebration. Additional permissions may involve the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism for large-scale events, as well as clearances from Dubai Police, Civil Defence and the municipality for aspects such as security, stage installations or outdoor structures.

Challenges
Planning a wedding overseas comes with its own set of challenges. “Coordinating with vendors across countries, navigating permissions, managing timelines across time zones and ensuring that every cultural element is executed authentically all require careful planning.” These challenges are addressed through meticulous preparation, strong vendor partnerships and constant coordination with the couple and their families.
A collaborative workforce
At the heart of Sri Events is a team that believes in collaborative execution. The company brings together event strategists, creative designers, production specialists, logistics managers and hospitality experts who work collectively to translate ideas into memorable experiences. “Executing international events often involves importing décor elements, coordinating with global artists and managing large-scale production setups, all of which require detailed planning and approvals.”
From Khammam to the world
Born and brought up in Khammam, Telangana, Sri’s father served as a police officer and his mother is a homemaker, whom he describes as the backbone of the family. “My younger brother has been more like a close friend and constant support system in my journey.”
As a child, Sri was quite an introvert but always had a deep passion for dance and movies, which gradually helped him express himself and build confidence. “I have always been greatly inspired by Tollywood actor Chiranjeevi, whose journey, discipline, and energy motivated me from a very young age.”
Dance and fitness
Before stepping into the event industry, Sri was deeply involved in the fitness and dance space, successfully running four dance studios. “My studios introduced dance fitness for the very first time in the region, along with structured levels of CrossFit and kickboxing, creating a holistic approach to health and wellness.” He personally conducted training sessions and fitness programmes. His passion for choreography also led him to work on sangeet ceremonies, corporate shows and stage productions.
Corporate events
Alongside weddings, Sri Events has built a strong presence in the corporate events space, producing conferences, leadership summits, brand engagements and curated experiential gatherings. The company has also handled major public and cultural projects, including the execution of the Ratha Saptami Utsavalu at Arasavelli, which witnessed an estimated footfall of around six lakh devotees. Over the years, Sri Events has also organised destination events within India in locations such as Goa, Mahabalipuram and Jaipur.
Jam Junxion
Building on his passion for creative experiences, Sri and his team conceptualised Jam Junxion, a distinctive live music platform designed to create immersive entertainment. The concept features six bands performing simultaneously on six different stages, each representing a unique genre, with audiences moving freely between them in a festival-like atmosphere.

Sri
Jam Junxion debuted in Hyderabad before expanding to Visakhapatnam and later Bengaluru. “We are now developing a corporate version of the concept that blends live music with interactive performances to create engaging experiences for employees, clients and partners.”
Trend
In recent years, there has been a growing trend of Indians choosing international destinations for weddings and corporate summits, largely because they offer a unique blend of travel and celebration. “Scenic locations, luxurious venues, and the experience of hosting an event in a new environment make these gatherings feel more exclusive and memorable for guests.” Sri notes that even for corporate events, a change of destination often encourages better engagement, networking and creativity. “That said, India itself offers incredible diversity in venues, culture, and hospitality, making it equally capable of hosting world-class celebrations.”
Choreography
Apart from his work in events, Sri has always been deeply passionate about dance and choreography — a journey that began long before Sri Events came into being. Over the years, he has worked across a wide range of platforms, from sangeet ceremonies and corporate events to school annual days. “It’s something that feels almost instinctive to me. No matter how busy life gets, it remains an integral part of who I am.”

Giving back plans
Looking ahead, Sri hopes to expand the scale of his projects while strengthening Sri Events as a comprehensive one-stop solution for event experiences. He also aims to dedicate more time to social service through his NGO, focusing particularly on supporting daily wage workers and individuals who form the backbone of many industries yet often remain underserved. “Through meaningful initiatives and community programmes, my aim is to create opportunities, provide support, and contribute positively to their well-being,” he signs off.
