Sidhant Lamba: Reimagining luxury living with global sophistication and Indian sensibilities

Written by: Vikram Sharma

(September 8, 2025) Sidhant Lamba’s love for design began long before he even understood the word. As a child, he tagged along with his father and grandfather to their project sites, mesmerized by the way empty concrete shells slowly transformed into living, breathing spaces. Today, that early fascination has grown into a full-fledged legacy. Sidhant has carved a niche in India’s luxury home décor landscape as the founder and curator of STRROT, a high-end home décor, lifestyle, and accessories brand.

A visionary entrepreneur and interior designer, Sidhant masterfully fuses tradition with modernity. His journey combines deep academic foundations, global collaborations, and an entrepreneurial spirit nurtured in a family that has shaped India’s design world for decades.

A Delhi legacy in design

Born and raised in New Delhi, Sidhant grew up in a family deeply rooted in interiors. His family has been at the helm of The Continental Group since the 1950s, pioneering interior solutions long before curated living spaces gained popularity in India. Having grown up in such an environment instilled in him an early appreciation for aesthetics and entrepreneurship.

“All those years of moving furniture around, site visits, and conversations about materials and layouts suddenly made sense. It wasn’t just something I enjoyed — it was something I was meant to do,” recalls Sidhant in a chat with Global Indian. He completed his schooling at Modern School in Delhi before pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from AID, New Delhi. Academically, he was always drawn to creative subjects, design, and innovation.

From Delhi to London: An education in design and business

Eager to expand his horizons, Sidhant moved to the UK, where his education reshaped his outlook. At Regent’s University in London, he pursued a Master’s in International Business, which gave him the tools to see design not just as an art form but also as a business with global markets and strategies. “It gave me the knowledge and skills to run this for profit and not just passion,” he says.

His academic journey also took him through some of the most renowned creative institutions in the UK. At the Inchbald School of Design, he deepened his understanding of interior decoration. A course at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art introduced him to provenance and the stories behind artworks, teaching him how art is not just something that hangs on walls but becomes part of how people live. At Chelsea College of Arts, he explored the intricacies of lighting design, adding yet another dimension to his craft. These experiences, he says, broadened his perspective, giving him a comprehensive knowledge of international design sensibilities while keeping him rooted in Indian traditions.

STRROT: Turning living places into art

With this strong foundation, Sidhant launched STRROT, which offers a bespoke home collection that ranges from affordable accents to investment-worthy masterpieces. At STRROT, every piece is curated with an eye for artistry, tradition, and innovation.

“Art is not confined to canvases but flows into every piece we curate. For us, art means storytelling through design. Whether it’s a sculptural console, a hand-finished chair, or an avant-garde Seletti piece, each object is an artwork in itself,” he explains. For him, art transforms a house into a home with soul and turns a space into a statement. His goal is to inspire and immerse customers in the world of design, making STRROT a unique and aspirational experience that celebrates Indian grandeur with an international flair.

Collaborations that define global sophistication

Over the last two decades, Sidhant has worked with leading international brands like Ligne Roset and Missoni Home, experiences that opened his eyes to how thoughtful design can completely shape the way people live. At STRROT, he has gone on to partner with Italian luxury brands such as Driade and Seletti, and previously with Missoni Home, known for their bold and innovative design philosophies. “We also celebrate Asian elegance with brands like Lotus from Thailand, featuring raw wood and silver pieces,” he adds.

From Driade’s iconic Nemo Chair to Seletti’s quirky avant-garde designs and Lotus’s understated craftsmanship, Sidhant’s collection is a seamless blend of global artistry and innovation.

Expanding horizons with global and Asian craftsmanship

Today, Sidhant is on an expansion spree, especially in South India, even as he continues to bring more international labels into his fold. At the same time, he is deeply committed to promoting Asian craftsmanship by creating stronger platforms to showcase regional talent. “STRROT is evolving into a lifestyle movement, with plans for exhibitions, collaborations, and exclusive capsule collections. We’re further enhancing our portfolio by adding a luxury leather atelier from Europe,” he says.

Democratizing design with Fabrento

In 2016, Sidhant further extended his entrepreneurial vision by founding Fabrento, an enterprise conceived from his dual expertise in design and international business. Based in Dubai and backed by The Continental Group, Fabrento makes high-quality furniture accessible through a rental model.

“Fabrento aims at creating your dream home into reality in just one tap, providing access to state-of-the-art furniture for rent at the most affordable rental prices with free delivery, setup, and installation,” explains Sidhant, who now splits his time between Delhi and Dubai.

A personal space that mirrors his vision

Sidhant’s own residence, a beautifully restored 60-year-old home in Delhi, is a reflection of his design philosophy. Contemporary silhouettes meet art-driven accents, blending European elegance with Indian sensibilities. “With pieces from renowned brands like Edra and Ebano, collected over the years through travels and experiences, our home is a true reflection of our aesthetic, which we extend to our customers,” he shares.

As a curator, he collaborates with other industry experts and brands to ensure that STRROT is not static but constantly evolving into new experiences for its clientele.

Beyond business: Art, travel, and giving back

When he is not working, Sidhant immerses himself in art collecting, travelling, and exploring design-focused cities like London and Milan. A passionate foodie, he loves discovering new restaurants and cuisines. “Visiting museums and soaking up the culture in these cities is a big part of my downtime,” he shares. Alongside his creative pursuits, he remains committed to supporting Indian artisans and social causes, ensuring his work is as much about giving back as it is about building businesses.

A legacy of sophistication and craft

From his childhood days on construction sites to helming STRROT and Fabrento, Sidhant Lamba’s journey is defined by vision, artistry, and global sophistication. Rooted in the rich design heritage of his family and strengthened by his international exposure, he has built a legacy that celebrates Indian craftsmanship while embracing the best of global design. For Sidhant, luxury is not just about objects, but about creating spaces with soul, meaning, and timeless elegance.
