Al Raha, Abu Dhabi
So I live on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi, near a canal and in partial view of the sea. I love this location and we chose it specifically as both me and my husband are homebound and enjoy picturesque views.
It was only two years ago that I shifted to Abu Dhabi, and very soon I warmed up to the place. Having stayed in Delhi for two decades moving to Abu Dhabi brought with it an interesting landscape.
This is one of the prettier views in Abu Dhabi—though currently we might be robbed of the partial view of the sea owing to construction.
Nevertheless, I love skating down by the winding canal, which looks beautiful at night. During New Year’s Eve, the fireworks reflect in the water and that looks even more picturesque.
We don’t have too many shops or restaurants near us, but not that we mind it—our neighbourhood is a quiet secluded area, and that makes me very happy.
