Deepinder Goyal is a happy man today. Zomato IPO has smashed the stock market as it was subscribed 38.25 times on day 3. And why not? Zomato has become synonymous with food delivery. So much so that it delivered 22 biryanis per minute during the pandemic in 2020. Started in 2009 by Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah, Zomato has become one of the biggest food delivery platforms in the country. From an intranet website to IPO, Zomato has come a long way in the last decade. Deepinder is an IIT-Delhi alumnus who started Zomato with his colleague Pankaj Chaddah.
