India is busy setting records with its vaccination drive. On August 31, the country achieved a new single-day vaccination milestone with 12.6 million doses. A second record that India set three days after crossing the 10-million mark for the first time on August 27. Sharing the numbers, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted, “One Crore, two times, in five days. Congratulations, as India administers another 1 crore #COVID19 vaccinations today. Highest one-day record of 1.09 crore vaccine doses achieved till 6 pm — and still counting!” It was in March 2021 that India started the vaccination drive for its citizens, and more than half of the Indian adults have already had their first jab.
