Much before he became a popular comedian, Russell Peters was DJing and was quite a big deal in the Toronto DJ scene. But it was his persistence to make it big in comedy, and he did so when he became one of the first person of color to be an acclaimed international comedian. But it was a long journey for him from being a broke guy to a millionaire.
