Back in 1931 when Mahatma Gandhi went to the UK, he captured public imagination. Wrapped in his dhoti in the bitter cold of the English country, he was mobbed by crowds wherever he went. Word of his deeds had made their way to English shores and there was much curiosity about the man himself.
