Satya Narayana Nadella was born on August 19, 1967, in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India.
His father, Bukkapuram Nadella Yugandhar, was an Indian Administrative Service officer, and his mother, Prabhavati, was a Sanskrit lecturer.
Nadella's early education took place at the Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet.
He earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology in 1988.
Nadella moved to the United States and obtained an MS in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 1990.
Later, he earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 1997.
At Microsoft, Nadella played a significant role in the company's transition to cloud computing and held various roles, including Executive Vice President of Microsoft's Cloud and Enterprise group.
In 2014, he became the CEO of Microsoft, leading a cultural transformation within the company and overseeing notable acquisitions.
