BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham is all set to inaugurate the largest Hindu temple in the US.

Spread over 185 acres, it's built by 12,500 volunteers, and carved from 1.9 million cubic feet of stone.

Mahant Swami Maharaj will carry out the inauguration on October 8, and the temple will be open to visitors from October 18th.

The temple's philosophy reflects the idea that 'In the joy of others lies our own,' echoing the life motto of Swami Maharaj.
